Looking for some new equipment?
Whether you’re a seasoned farmer or just starting out, having the right tools can make all the difference in your farming operations. Let’s take a closer look at some of Armour Group’s agricultural machinery for Seeding and Effluent management:
1. Gil Seeders
Gil Seeders are versatile machines designed for precision seeding.
- Purpose: These seeders are ideal for sowing seeds directly into the soil with accuracy.
- Application: They can be used for various crops, including grains, legumes, and grasses.
- Working Mechanism: The Gil Seeders use a disc seeding unit to deliver seeds directly into the ground. Afterward, a roller stabilises the soil.
- Universal Use: Whether you’re establishing permanent grassland or reseeding, the Gil Seeders have got you covered.
2. SMS Roller Drills
SMS Roller Drills are essential preparing your field before sowing seeds. They help break up clumps of soil, level the surface, and create a uniform seedbed.
- Seedbed Preparation: These drills help create an optimal seedbed by breaking up soil clumps and leveling the surface.
- Roller Mechanism: The SMS Roller Drills incorporate a smooth cylinder (water-fillable) with a 510 mm diameter. This roller ensures uniform seed-to-soil contact.
- Inter-Row Spacing: With a distance of 125 mm between each seeding unit, these drills provide efficient coverage.
- Versatility: Whether you’re working on grassland or field conditions, the SMS Roller Drills deliver consistent results.
3. SMS Smart Drills
SMS Smart Drills are designed for smaller farmers who need efficient seeding solutions. Here’s what you need to know:
- Compact Design: These drills are highly universal and compact, making them perfect for smaller operations.
- Seeding Unit: The standard version includes a 200 litre seeding unit with a hydraulically driven fan.
- Control Box: Equipped with a control box, the SMS Smart Drills allow precise seed placement.
- Stabilisation: Similar to other SMS drills, seeds are delivered by a disc seeding unit and stabilised by a roller
4. Airsow Seeders (150L & 350L)
Airsow Seeders are efficient and reliable for sowing seeds. AriSow set out to design a seeding system that could address the demands of all farmers: improved residue clearance, precise seed and fertiliser placement, and on-row packing. One-pass seeding systems, where seed and all fertiliser is applied together in one field operation, bring improved economics and profitability. In direct seeding systems, many farmers reduce fuel use by one-third to one-half. Similar savings in time, labour and equipment depreciation further reduce cost.
- Hopper Capacity: Available in both 150L and 350L versions, these seeders can handle different volumes.
- Application: They are suitable for various crops, including grains and grasses.
- Precision Seeding: The Airsow Seeders ensure accurate seed placement.
- Eight Rows: With eight rows, they cover a substantial area efficiently.
General Tips for All Machines:
- Storage: Store the equipment in a dry, sheltered area to prevent rust and damage.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Perform thorough checks before each planting season.
- User Manual: Refer to our user manuals for specific maintenance schedules and guidelines.
- Safety First: Always follow safety protocols when working with machinery.
Remember that proactive maintenance reduces downtime, improves efficiency, and contributes to successful farming operations. Happy farming! 🌱🚜
