Independent trials have shown that the better the compaction the lower the losses due to poor fermentation. A well-compacted silage face can be cut out more easily and is more stable because air cannot penetrate as far into the silage mass. A SilaPactor speeds up the compaction process almost four-fold, saving both time and fuel. Rolling tight to the sides of the silage clamp is much easier, resulting in improved silage quality in this vulnerable area.

Independent trials have shown that the better the compaction the lower the losses due to poor fermentation. A well-compacted silage face can be cut out more easily and is more stable because air cannot penetrate as far into the silage mass. Achieving even compaction involves a lot of manoeuvring and using the resulting tyre tracks as visual confirmation that every part of the clamp has been compacted. Compaction at the sides of the clamp is often compromised or results in damage to side sheeting and clamp walls.

A SilaPactor speeds up the compaction process almost four-fold, saving both time and fuel. Rolling tight to the sides of the silage clamp is much easier, resulting in improved silage quality in this vulnerable area.

By using a silage compactor it's much easier to consolidate layers and roll nearer the sides increasing the overall compaction which also leads to a higher dry matter in the feed of up to 40% compared to a conventional tractor rolling method. Such significant compaction improvements result in higher nutrient retention, better fermentation and utilisation of clamp space and lower fuel consumption, making a considerable saving in overall feed costs. Silage Rammer implements are a proven way to increase feed quality, utilise clamp space, and decrease overall time and fuel consumption.

Our compactors use train wheels and are fully fabricated in the Czech Republic with European certification and testing certificates and are finished in our workshops here in Moss Vale NSW. We can build to your specification from the list of widths and weights listed making it the perfect match for your buck-raking setup.

The same 170hp tractor can be used as opposed to the usual 300hp machine If the tractor has a front loader - then it can be used to spread as well as to compact with the SilaPactor.

The machine weighing 2,700 kg to 4,800, is rear linkage mounted and has up to 12 rings with a diameter of 90cm and a working width of upto 3.5m.  Silage compactors with a reach of 2.1 m, 2.6 m, 3.0 m, 3.2 m, and 3.5 m are available with 7-9-11 or 12 train wheels.
